Development of a fitness app for Elevate

A bold ambition for a committed community

Elevate was born from the vision of Alaïa Hennequin, one of the most influential fitness creators in France, with over 315,000 followers on Instagram.

‍

Her goal: to offer exclusive content to her all-female community. Very quickly, the idea of a mobile app emerged as the ideal solution to centralize her fitness programs, recipes, podcasts, and to create a safe and supportive social space.

The long-term objective: make Elevate the number one fitness app for women in France.

‍

It was within this dynamic that our agency was brought on board to design the visual identity and develop the full technological infrastructure behind this ambitious project.

Art direction

‍

Elevate’s art direction is defined by soft pastel tones and a strong focus on visual elements. The result is modern, elegant, and reassuring. Essam, our Art Director, drew inspiration from the latest UI/UX trends to craft every screen and every user journey with care and intent.

A custom cross-platform mobile app

‍

From the outset, we opted for a native mobile app available on both iOS and Android, built with React Native (frontend) and Node.js (backend). The app is available on the App Store and Google Play, and integrates Stripe and Apple Subscriptions to handle billing and user subscriptions.

‍

Beta versions are distributed via TestFlight, and a staging environment allows the Elevate team to test new features securely before going live.

The experience is designed to support members across every dimension of their wellness: fitness, yoga, meditation, nutrition, and community.

Key features:

• Hundreds of fitness and yoga sessions users can follow at home or in the gym, with an immersive in-app experience and the ability to cast directly to a TV
• Multi-week programs tailored to all levels, with session planning and reminders via a built-in calendar
• Wellness articles and meditation podcasts
• A gamified experience with badges to collect and community challenges throughout the year
• Hundreds of smart, dietitian-supervised recipes
• A smart meal planner powered by Eva, an AI assistant that analyzes meals and automatically calculates the user’s daily caloric balance
• A positive community space where members can share, support one another, exchange tips, and grow together
• Push and in-app notifications on both iOS and Android

A powerful back office and robust infrastructure

‍

A complete back office, built in React and NestJS, allows the Elevate team to manage all app content independently.

The infrastructure runs on AWS, using CDN and load balancing for scalability. Data is secured, and authentication is handled via Firebase—a robust and easy-to-integrate solution.

A Tech-as-a-Service team driving growth

‍

We support Elevate on a daily basis with a dedicated team: CTO, Product Manager, frontend and backend developers.

This “Tech as-a-Service” model enables our client to focus on her core mission: creating content and engaging her community.
